Nice to see you here! My name is Fernanda Alderetes, but you can call me
Fer. I am a QA engineer and a front-end development enthusiast from
Argentina, based in the Netherlands.
Growing up in the northern Argentine city of San Miguel de Tucumán, I
developed an interest in computer science at a very young age. When
graduation came, and it was time for me to choose a career path, it was
no surprise that I decided to go towards technology and study at the
National University of Tucumán, where I graduated as a Computer
Engineer.
My journey in software development began a little bit later when I was
introduced to the world of Quality Assurance and began to explore
applications in close detail.
As I grew in skills and experience, I started working increasingly with
test automation, which ignited my passion for coding. Since November
2023, I have started taking part in SheCodes workshops, where I can
build fun projects from scratch, boosting my self-motivation and
creativity.
Combining my newly acquired front-end development skills with my quality
assurance experience has given me a refreshed perspective on software
development as a whole, and I am eager to keep learning and creating
new, interesting, and fun projects.
